  1. I have watched the Edge Factor shows, and I think they are great! I am an engineer who would rather get my hands dirty on the factory floor than spend my days in an office. I think this show goes a long way to show the public what modern manufacturing is. Most people have no idea what a machine tool is or how it works, even though they use products that are made on them everyday.
    We need to let kids know that there is a rewarding and challenging future in manufacturing and you don’t need a 4 year degree. I would also like to see a resurgence in apprenticeship programs. Let’s not lose all the valuable knowledge that the older generation has, but put it to work for my generation and future generations of machinists and  tool builders!
