Report: Hollywood star Anne Heche seriously injured in an accident

According to US media, the actress is said to have left the road with her car and crashed into a house. Anne Heche suffered severe burns.

Hollywood star Anne Heche, who appeared in films such as ” Six Days, Seven Nights” and “Psycho” is said to have been hospitalized after a car accident. As the US portal “TMZ” reports, the incident occurred on Friday afternoon local time in Mar Vista, a district of Los Angeles. According to eyewitnesses, the 53 year old with her blue Mini Cooper is only crashed into a garage and then into an apartment building.

The Los Angeles Police Department would not confirm the driver’s identity, the license plate number is part of the report however, according to the actress and she herself was behind the wheel. According to the LAPD, the vehicle burst into flames and the driver was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital with severe burns.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said the fire spread from the car to the home. Accordingly, 59 firefighters of the LAFD needed 65 minutes to enter the badly damaged building, contain the flames and extinguish them completely.

The cause of the accident is currently still unclear and is being investigated. Recordings from traffic cameras are said to show that the actress was driving in the residential area at excessive speed. The extent of her injuries is not yet known. As “TMZ” claims to have learned, Anne Heche is said to be artificially ventilated in the hospital, but is out of danger. Due to her condition, doctors are currently unable to run tests to determine if she has been driving under the influence.
