A foot chase is exhausting. So what to do? A police officer from Stuttgart was lucky – because a passer-by thought along with him.

If you don’t have your own car, you sometimes need the help of your fellow human beings. A police officer experienced this on Wednesday evening in Stuttgart. The officer was just downtown in pursuit of two teenagers who were riding what appeared to be a stolen scooter.

To get away from the patrol car that is pursuing them, the two 15-year-olds into the busy pedestrian zone of Königstraße and then turn right towards school street. Afterwards, the only way for the police officers to continue was on foot. And here we come to the topic of cars: A passer-by made his bike available to one of the officers rushing behind to facilitate the chase through the city.
